In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Tuesday, Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) slammed President Joe Biden for seeking to deflect blame for the “epic failure” on the president’s part in Afghanistan, stating that Biden now “owns” all the recent scenes reminiscent of Saigon and adding that, unlike under Biden’s presidency, the Taliban feared former President Donald Trump.

Rubio Vows to Block Confirmation of U.S. Ambassador to Cuba

President Barack Obama’s administration has aggressively pushed for normalizing relations with the island nation. In April the State Department removed Cuba from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism, despite ongoing concerns about its support for terrorism and human rights violations. This decision was heavily criticized by both Rubio and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rubio’s fellow Republican in the Senate and competitor for the GOP presidential nomination.

U.S. Evacuates Yemen Embassy

The State Department is confirming it has closed the U.S. Embassy in Yemen and evacuated its staff because of the political crisis and security concerns following the takeover of much of the country by Shiite rebels.
