Chinese Defense Ministry Wants Closer Ties to U.S. Military

Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said on Friday that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) desires closer relations with the U.S. military – and then blamed the U.S. for taking “provocative” actions that make such a close relationship difficult.

China: U.S. ‘Covering Up’ South China Sea Submarine Collision

China on Monday accused the U.S. of purposefully delaying the release of information detailing a mysterious collision by one of its nuclear submarines with an unknown object in the South China Sea on October 2, claiming Washington seeks to “cover up” the incident, Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported Wednesday.

CBP, Coast Guard Seize 9 Tons of Cocaine in Three Incidents

U.S. Customs and Border Protection aircrews teamed up with the Coast Guard to seize nearly nine tons of cocaine in three separate incidents in July and August. The 17,620-pound seizures had an estimated street value of more than $333 million, officials stated.
