G20 Leaders Say Taliban Will Be Involved in Humanitarian Efforts

The Group of 20 (G20) held a video conference on Tuesday at which they agreed the Taliban must be actively involved in distributing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. The group insisted this concession should not be construed as formal recognition of the Taliban’s legitimacy.

NATO Expels Half of Russia’s Mission, Accusing Them of Espionage

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Wednesday expelled eight members of Russia’s mission, cutting it down to half size, and reduced the maximum size of the mission to 10 members from 20. NATO said the individuals it expelled were “undeclared Russian intelligence officers.”
