33 Migrants Arrested by Texas Troopers on Ranch near Border

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assigned to border security duty arrested 33 migrants on state charges of criminal trespass. The troopers, assigned to Operation Lone Star, arrested the migrants on private ranches near the Texas-Mexico border.

30 Migrants Found in Truck, 20 More in Texas Motel near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents found a group of nearly 30 migrants hiding in the sleeping compartment of a commercial tractor. Agents and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers also teamed up to apprehend more than 20 migrants being warehoused in motel rooms.

Armed Human Smugglers Arrested in Texas After Crash on Railroad Track near Border

A multi-agency effort led to the arrest of two United States citizens accused of smuggling five migrants in remote South Texas. After fleeing a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint, the two smugglers led law enforcement officers on a vehicle pursuit that ended when the truck crashed onto railroad tracks in La Salle County, Texas. After searching the vehicle, officers discovered a loaded handgun.

50 Migrants Found in California Freight Trains near Border

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents in Niland, California, discovered a group of migrants aboard a northbound freight train attempting to bypass the established highway checkpoint. In one event, agents found 26 migrants hiding in the rail cars. Information provided by the group led to the eventual arrest of an additional 16.

2021: Report Shows Migrants Missing, Dead Along Southwest Border Hit All-Time High

A report compiled by a migration research group shows the number of people who went missing or are known to have died along the U.S.-Mexico Border hit an all-time high in 2021. The unprecedented figure follows the record-shattering number of migrants attempting to enter the U.S. following changes in immigration and border security policies by the Biden Administration.

Manhunt Underway for Suspect in Texas Human Smuggling Plane Crash

Authorities in the West Texas town of Presidio issued an arrest warrant for the person suspected of piloting a single-engine aircraft with five migrants on board. The plane crashed shortly after take-off from the Presidio Airport. The Presidio County Sheriff’s Office issued the warrant Saturday for Tobias Penner Peters of Seminole, Texas.

SHOTS FIRED: Border Patrol Vehicle Struck as Agents Arrest Migrant

Border Patrol agents attempting to arrest a migrant near Fronton, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley came under gunfire Saturday morning. As the agents attempted the arrest, several shots were fired at them from Mexico. The agents avoided injury during the incident that damaged their patrol vehicle.

Migrants Wearing Camo Apprehended in Far West Texas near Border

Big Bend Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with CBP’s Air and Marine Operations to apprehend a group of migrants attempting to use camouflage to conceal their location. The migrants attempted to conceal their location in the rocks and brush after fleeing from Border Patrol agents.
