Watch—Roughly 20 People Show Up for Democrat Jon Tester Rally Day Before Election

Roughly 20 people showed up for a Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) campaign rally on Monday—the day before one of the country’s most contentious U.S. Senate elections.

NBC Montana ran a live stream of a University of Montana college campus rally in which roughly 20 people showed up for the contentious Montana Senate race.

Meanwhile, a Rosendale rally with Vice President Mike Pence gathered more than 1,000 Montanans.

At a rally this week in Belgrade, Montana, President Donald Trump gathered roughly 5,500 people and security suggested that they turned away approximately the same amount of people.

Tester’s Republican challenger, Montana state auditor Matt Rosendale, has gained the momentum as a poll released on Sunday revealed that Rosendale leads Tester by three points–49 to 56 percent, while Libertarian candidate Rick Breckenridge has three percent.

Trump railed against Tester in a rally last week, reminding Montanans that he’ll never forget the Montana Democrat tanked the nomination of his personal physician, Admiral Ronnie Jackson, to serve as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.

Trump noted that Tester tanking Jackson’s nomination is “honestly one of the reasons I’ve been here so much.”

Rosendale emphasized in an interview with Breitbart News Saturday that the Montana Democrat invented the very smear tactics that Senate Democrats used against Judge Brett Kavanaugh during his Supreme Court nomination process.

“He opposed Gorsuch, he opposed Brett Kavanaugh and participated in the character assassinations that the Democrats had reverted to and just not the kind of person that represents the values of the people of Montana,” Rosendale said.

This week Sen. Tester said that Senate Democrats “botched” the strategy regarding the confirmation of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. On Friday, one woman who accused Kavanaugh of raping her admitted that she made up the accusation against the Supreme Court nominee.

Rosendale charged, “Jon Tester literally invented this tactic of character assassination when he released a bunch of false information about Admiral Ronnie Jackson.”
