Loudoun County School Superintendent Admits ‘Failed’ Effort to Provide a Safe Environment, Left-Wing Board Member Resigns

Scott Ziegler, the superintendent of Virginia’s embattled Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), said that the school district has “failed” to provide a safe environment for its students. The superintendent’s comments were in response to local parents outraged over how reports of two sexual assaults were handled inside schools. Following the superintendent’s statement, board member Beth Barts, who previously targeted parents who are against Critical Race Theory in schools, resigned from her position.

"Dr. Scott A. Ziegler was appointed the Superintendent for Loudoun County Public Schools on June 8, 2021. Ziegler has served as LCPS’ interim superintendent since January 1 when he was appointed to succeed Dr. Eric Williams." (LCPS)

Virginia Democrats’ Policy Change May Enable More Coverups of Misdemeanor Sexual Misconduct in Schools

Virginia Democrats quietly amended a law last year, softening a policy that, even in its current state, should have required Loudoun County Public Schools to report the apparent sexual assault that has roiled the school board this week, as parents accused officials of covering up a teenage girl’s rape because it would undermine a pro-transgender bathroom policy.

One student pointed out “just let the skill shine, and whoever’s the best player deserves to be on the team.”
