Comandante del Cartel De Sinaloa Detenido en Nuevo León

Autoridades estatales mexicanas arrestaron a un alto comandante regional del Cártel de Sinaloa en el estado fronterizo de Nuevo León. Se cree que la figura del cártel es responsable de numerosos secuestros y ejecuciones en el área después de que el Cártel de Sinaloa comenzó una guerra territorial con otras organizaciones en el estado a finales del año pasado.

33 Migrants Arrested by Texas Troopers on Ranch near Border

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers assigned to border security duty arrested 33 migrants on state charges of criminal trespass. The troopers, assigned to Operation Lone Star, arrested the migrants on private ranches near the Texas-Mexico border.

30 Migrants Found in Truck, 20 More in Texas Motel near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents found a group of nearly 30 migrants hiding in the sleeping compartment of a commercial tractor. Agents and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers also teamed up to apprehend more than 20 migrants being warehoused in motel rooms.

WATCH: Hostages Flee from Armed Gunman as Standoff Comes to an End

A video shot by a Dallas ABC news crew shows the final moments of the near 12-hour standoff at the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue late Saturday night. The video shows what appears to be the three remaining hostages fleeing out a door followed shortly by a man holding a pistol.

Hostages Escape at Texas Synagogue — Suspect Dead

A man took four hostages at a Jewish synagogue in Colleyville, Texas, on Saturday morning. After a ten-hour standoff, the three remaining hostages escaped and an FBI Hostage Rescue Team made entry. The FBI confirmed the suspect is dead.

Armed Human Smugglers Arrested in Texas After Crash on Railroad Track near Border

A multi-agency effort led to the arrest of two United States citizens accused of smuggling five migrants in remote South Texas. After fleeing a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint, the two smugglers led law enforcement officers on a vehicle pursuit that ended when the truck crashed onto railroad tracks in La Salle County, Texas. After searching the vehicle, officers discovered a loaded handgun.

DHS Cannot Account for 50K Migrants Released in 2021

Data released by the Department of Homeland Security show more than 50,000 migrants released by the agency with instructions to report to ICE once at their desired U.S. location have failed to do so. The Notice to Report (NTR) process was instituted to help the Border Patrol ease detention facility overcrowding in 2021.

Feds Intercept 176 Haitian Migrants in Sailboat off Florida Coast

A Customs and Border Protection flight crew detected a grossly overloaded vessel 25 miles northeast of Anguilla Cay, Bahamas. The aircrew notified the Coast Guard on Monday night and coordinated a joint interdiction. Personnel onboard the Coast Guard Cutter Paul Clark intercepted the vessel near Key Largo, Florida, and discovered 176 Haitians aboard.
