Group of 170 Migrants Apprehended in West Texas near Border

NORMANDY, Texas — The Border Patrol’s Del Rio Sector is starting the new fiscal year off at a record pace with more than 170 mostly Venezuelan migrants apprehended in a single group early Monday morning. The migrants surrendered 15 miles north of Eagle Pass.

EAGLE PASS, Texas — Members of a Honduran migrant family suffered severe injuries after falling from a moving freight train. Three of the four family members lost limbs. A Maverick County Sheriff deputy came across the grizzly scene and summoned medical personnel to assist on Tuesday.

Biden Admin to Open Land Border Ports of Entry, Issues Vaccine Mandate

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced he will lift the ban on non-essential travel across land border ports of entry in November 2021. Appeals Court Preserves CDC Title 42 Migrant Expulsion Protocol

The United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia granted the Biden administration a stay against a lower court’s injunction requiring the federal government to stop using the Title 42 COVID protection protocol.
